What is the other cause of Hypertension?
Hypertension is caused by most kidney diseases because normal blood volume and electrolyte balance are sustained by the kidney. The kidney also regulates blood volume and contractility of blood vessels. Thus, if someone contracted any kidney disease which causes these processes to be not in proper order, then he or she will develop high blood pressure. But this cause of high blood pressure can be cured by surgery. For this case, it is crucial to examine the patients’ kidneys in connection with hypertension, particularly when they are not more than 50 years old.
The system of many pivotal bodily functions is handled by chemical substances from hormones secreted by endocrine glands. If endocrine glands secrete more hormones for the body’s needs than usual, then hypertension takes place.
Another cause of hypertension that can be avoided is analgesic nephropathy. It is due to abuse of analgesics which act as pain killers and containing the drug phenacetin. When someone regularly consumes this drug for a period of several years, he or she will develop kidney damage and consequently develop hypertension as well.
These conditions are mostly suffered by a group of people who represent the minority among hypertensives and they are regarded as a group who needs to be paid more attention to for two major reasons. Firstly, these hypertensives’ ages are between 30 to 50 years old. Secondly, they can be cured by surgery.
